Cortinez-Anderson's three-compartment PK model produces polyexponential end-tidal washout; its predicted central concentration then drives the effect site. Constant input is normalised to an eventual 1% end-tidal target, so the decrement shape is retained without claiming to model a particular vaporizer, fresh-gas flow, or breathing circuit. Multi-hour contexts are extrapolations beyond the study's short concentration transitions.
